Covering the Sunset Strip Scene, from Axl to Zeppelin.
Sunset and Clark was launched in 2005 from a Sunset Strip loft located a guitar pick-toss from The Whisky, Roxy, Rainbow, Viper Room, and the old Tower Records Sunset.
The rock and roll blog was created by longtime L.A. music journalist and ex-Whoremoans drummer and songwriter Mack Fleetwood.
Sunset and Clark aims to keep the Sunset Strip’s legacy alive by celebrating its rockin’ history while tracking its ever-evolving music scene, where local legends like Warner Drive, Budderside, Wednesday 13, Fast Times, Rubik’s Cube L.A., Black Sabbatha, and Lonely Drunks Band Club continue to shake the Strip with their original brand of smokin’ rock and roll.
Sunset and Clark’s music and arts coverage gets you so close to the scene that you may get a contact high. Whether we’re rocking out with Don Dokken at the Rainbow‘s 40th anniversary parking lot party, checking out Axl Rose‘s newest incarnation of Guns N’ Roses at the Forum or eavesdropping on a conversation between Flea, Rick Rubin and Lars Ulrich at Exhibit A Gallery‘s tribute to Metallica, Sunset and Clark is always on the scene.
