All-star rock-and-roll lineup at ’Ultimate Jam Night’ had fans braving L.A.’s rain to get rocked!
We’re all about supporting the local arts community, and wow, it certainly paid off for us earlier this week at the Whisky A Go-Go’s “Ultimate Jam Night Hollywood.” Tuesday’s torrential rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of the dedicated fans who braved the storm to get their faces rocked—including by a stellar Jon Bon Jovi impersonator!

“Ultimate Jam Night Hollywood” is a free live music showcase happening every other Tuesday and featuring a themed night of non-stop rock hits performed by world-class musicians.

And when we say world-class, we mean it. For instance, special guests at “UJNH” have included legendary musicians like Clem Burke (Blondie), Bill Ward (Black Sabbath), Cheri Currie (The Runaways), and Monte Pittman (Madonna), who have all joined the “Jam Fam” at one time or other and rocked the Whisky’s legendary stage. Talk about rockin’ credentials!

In addition to the spot-on JBJ impersonator seeing about a hundred faces and rocking them all, this week’s showcase was themed “An Evening of Melodic Rock” and featured a diverse roster of incredibly talented rock musicians, including ex-Dokken bassist Sean McNabb, Audi Argelazi of L.A.’s White Witch, “UJNH” host and Nerd Halen frontman Hal Sparks, and master shredder Miles Schon, among many others.

The non-stop rock and roll showcase also featured the debut of L.A.’s awesome new tribute band Separate Journeys, led by former “Ultimate Jam Night Hollywood” host Paulie Z. and, coincidentally, covering classics by Schon’s father Neal Schon‘s band, Journey.
Now, let’s talk highlights:
Dez and Jesse Money proved that arena-ready talent runs in the family as they brought the house down with their dad Eddie Money‘s timeless hits.

Hal Sparks paid tribute to “Ultimate Jam Night Hollywood “ founder Chuck Wright by joining him on some nostalgic old school tunes from Wright’s legendary former band, House of Lords.

August Zadra, looking like Tommy Shaw‘s twin, not only covered Styx‘s “Blue Collar Man” flawlessly but made us want to offer him a job right then and there!

Toshi Yanagi from Brown M&Ms shredded on some classic Dokken, leaving us absolutely speechless. George Lynch would have approved!
